Musicair's Newletter

Musicair's Summer Newsletter, 2010

Another exciting year! Thanks to all my students for making it such a great one for me personally. There are several of you now going on to university and college, and still more leaving the country - so I bid a fond farewell to you, and good luck! This means that there are some new lesson slots opening up. If you want to change your day or time, or if you know of anyone else who would like lessons, please get in touch. And here's a special incentive - if you can introduce a new student to me who commits to a term's lessons, then you can have a free lesson!

We had an interesting end of year students' concert - the time was moved because of the football, but we lost out on two counts - as well as losing the match, we didn't make any money to give to the Sam Beare charity. The expenses were more than the ticket takings and the donations for the drinks, so regretfully, next year I shall have to charge an amount to the performers to help cover the costs of putting on the concert. But, thanks to you all for great performances!

In the school holidays I shall be teaching every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and as a special incentive, all children under 16 who are already students of mine can have a half hour lesson on those days for only £12. That's a big saving on the usual fee. Call, text or email any day to book a lesson.
The Summer Singing group is now full up, but you can still book to come on the Singers' Workshop on July 24 (two spaces), and the Glee Club (four spaces) every Wednesday evening. The TWIG Singers also have spaces for female singers. See the website for more details.

Your invoice is enclosed for the new term, if applicable. Please let me know if there are any dates you cannot make. Read the dates carefully, as I am away in September, and I wouldn't want you to have a wasted journey. In these hard financial times, you can if you wish pay by three separate instalments: one cheque for September, another for October, and the third for November. You'll need to give me all the cheques together, divided into three equal amounts. If you have any problems, please contact me; I may be able to help.

And finally, thanks to all of you who came to my first "Pop-up Tea Room". We had a lot of fun, and the Sam Beare Appeal benefited! The next one is on August 15th. You'll need to book - all welcome! Sittings are at 3 pm and 5 pm.
Very best wishes,
Georgina
